If you live in NOLA, you’ve probably been celebrating the Carnival Season since Twelfth Night and no doubt you were in attendance at one, if not all, of the parades this past weekend. We certainly were. But, if you’re not from New Orleans, you likely have no idea what all the hubbub is about. Chris Rose, a New Orleans native and writer once said of Mardi Gras:
Mardi Gras is the love of life. It is the harmonic convergence of our food, our music, our creativity, our eccentricity, our neighborhoods, and our joy of living. All at once.
And that is 100% true. We shared this playlist last week but think it’s still worth a Monday morning listen. So, if you can’t be in New Orleans today celebrating Lundi Gras or tomorrow to enjoy the Fat Tuesday festivities, why not pretend? Go ahead, take a listen.
